In a resolute message to the nation and international community, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged the strategic impact of recent long-range operations carried out by Ukrainian forces deep within Russian territory.

Speaking after receiving a detailed briefing from Vasyl Maliuk, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Zelenskyy expressed his appreciation for what he described as “tangible” and effective strikes that have made a noticeable impact on the Russian side. These operations are part of Ukraine’s evolving military strategy to counter ongoing aggression and shift the dynamics of the prolonged conflict.

“Our special operations on Russian territory are felt by the enemy,” Zelenskyy stated. “And they will continue. Russia is dragging out this war, and for every step it takes to prolong the suffering, it will receive an appropriate response.”

The Ukrainian president’s remarks reflect a growing confidence in the country’s intelligence and military capabilities, particularly in their ability to strike high-value targets far beyond the front lines. These long-range missions are believed to target critical infrastructure, logistics hubs, and military assets that support Russia’s war efforts.

This approach signifies a shift in Ukraine’s strategy from primarily defensive operations to proactive, asymmetric responses intended to weaken the opponent’s operational depth. Zelenskyy’s statement also sends a clear signal to Moscow and the world that Ukraine is prepared to escalate pressure if Russia refuses to pursue peace.

The continued use of special operations on Russian soil adds a new layer to the conflict, potentially altering the course of events in the months ahead. As the war enters a new phase, Ukraine’s leadership appears determined to match prolonged aggression with resilience, precision, and resolve.
