A new report on global wealth migration trends reveals that in 2025, a significant number of millionaires are planning to relocate, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) topping the list as the most preferred destination. According to the Henley Private Wealth Migration Report 2025, 9,800 millionaires are expected to make the UAE their new home—making it the world’s top magnet for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). In second place is the United States, welcoming 7,500 millionaires, followed by Italy with an expected influx of 3,600 wealthy newcomers. These trends indicate a shift in global preferences, as affluent individuals seek countries offering financial security, tax advantages, quality of life, and political stability. Switzerland ranks fourth, with 3,000 millionaires projected to move there, reaffirming its longstanding reputation as a haven for wealth. Close behind is Saudi Arabia, which is forecast to attract 2,400 millionaires—showcasing its rising appeal as an emerging business and luxury lifestyle hub in the Middle East. Singapore, known for its robust economy and favorable tax system, comes in sixth with 1,600 millionaire migrants. Portugal, with its golden visa program and scenic charm, follows with 1,400, while Greece attracts 1,200, indicating growing interest in Southern Europe. Canada and Australia round out the top ten, each expected to gain 1,000 millionaires in 2025. Both countries have historically been favorites among wealthy migrants due to their high standards of living, stability, and opportunities for business and investment. These migration patterns highlight a dynamic reshuffling of global wealth, with millionaires increasingly seeking out destinations that offer not just economic potential, but also lifestyle advantages and long-term security. As nations compete to attract the world’s wealthiest individuals, policies around residency, taxation, and investment incentives are playing a crucial role in shaping this modern migration wave.
