Vietnam Introduces New Responsibilities for Businesses Providing Data Products and Services
Vietnam has introduced new regulatory requirements covering organisations and businesses that provide data-related products and services, as part of a broader effort to strengthen the management of the country’s growing digital economy.
The new rules were issued through Government Decree No. 347/2026/ND-CP. The decree amends and supplements provisions contained in four existing decrees covering science and technology, data products and services, fire prevention and fighting, and administrative penalties in several areas of public security and social order.
The changes establish additional responsibilities for organisations involved in providing data products and services. The regulatory framework is intended to clarify the obligations of businesses operating in an area that has become increasingly important to Vietnam’s technology and economic-development policies.
