DoT Invites Nominations for Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Excellence Awards 2024
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has officially opened the nomination process for the prestigious Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Excellence Awards 2024. These annual awards are designed to promote and celebrate innovation, excellence, and significant contributions in the Indian telecommunications sector. The awards are open to both individuals and organizations, encouraging a wide range of applicants to participate.
Eligibility and Application Process
The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Excellence Awards are open to Indian citizens, organizations, and institutions registered in India. Nominations can also be submitted by universities, technical and academic institutions, as well as recognized telecom industry associations. Furthermore, the Award Committee has the discretion to independently recommend individuals or institutions who have made significant contributions to the telecom sector.
Eligible individuals and organizations must have made notable contributions to the telecom sector in India over the past three years. There are no age limits, ensuring that deserving candidates, regardless of their age, can be recognized for their work. Nominations can be submitted online, and the deadline for submission is 30th September 2024.
Award Components and Selection Process
Each award winner will receive a shawl, a citation, a plaque, and a cash prize of INR 2 lakh. A maximum of five awards can be given in a year, depending on the decisions of the Award Committee. The committee will select the winners based on the quality and impact of the work done in the telecom sector.
