The Mahoba police have arrested two individuals for allegedly making objectionable comments against a respected social reformer, sparking concerns over attempts to disturb communal harmony in the region. The arrests were made by the Kulpaahar police team, and the accused have been sent to jail.

According to the official statement released by the Mahoba Police through their verified social media handle, both individuals were apprehended for making derogatory remarks that could potentially incite social discord. The post emphasized that no one will be allowed to disrupt communal peace and that anyone attempting to do so will face strict legal consequences.

In a detailed press release, the police stated that the accused had shared inflammatory content on social media targeting a well-known social figure. The act was deemed an attempt to disrupt peace and harmony. Swift action was taken under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the duo was booked and placed behind bars.

The police also urged the public to refrain from engaging in or supporting such divisive activities. Citizens have been advised to maintain harmony and report any content that threatens social peace.

“This is a clear warning to those who misuse social media platforms to spread hate or disrespect prominent personalities. The law will not tolerate such behavior, and strict action will be taken against violators,” said a senior police officer.
