Netanyahu Mourns Fallen Police Officer, Calls for Justice Against Killers

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Master Sergeant Major Niv Peretz, a police officer from the Umm al-Fahm station who was killed in the line of duty during a chase after criminals.
In a message of condolence, Netanyahu described Peretz as a brave officer who served the State of Israel with dedication and loyalty. He emphasized that Peretz was not only a committed public servant but also a role model to his colleagues, friends, and loved ones.
“On behalf of the entire people of Israel, I send my heartfelt condolences to the family of Niv, of blessed memory,” Netanyahu said, highlighting the sacrifice made by Peretz in the effort to protect Israeli citizens.
The Prime Minister also issued a strong call to law enforcement authorities to pursue justice without compromise. “I call on the law enforcement agencies to bring the vile murderers to justice and ensure they face the full extent of the law,” he declared.
Peretz’s death has drawn national attention to the dangers faced by police officers who put themselves at risk daily in order to maintain safety and order. His passing has sparked both mourning and renewed determination to confront violent crime across the country.
Netanyahu’s remarks underline the government’s commitment to supporting Israel’s police force and ensuring that those responsible for attacks against officers are held fully accountable.
