Ghanshyam Meher Joins as New District Education Officer of Subarnapur

Subarnapur, September 24, 2026: Ghanshyam Meher has joined as the new District Education Officer (DEO) of Subarnapur district. His appointment has brought expectations within the education department that his experience and administrative background will contribute to further strengthening the district’s education system.

Meher has previously served in senior positions in the Education Department in both Boudh and Subarnapur districts. His familiarity with education administration in the region is expected to assist him in carrying out his responsibilities as the district’s new education officer.

As DEO, key areas of responsibility will include improving the quality of education, strengthening teaching and learning practices, addressing issues concerning students and teachers, and supporting improvements in school infrastructure.

Effective coordination among teachers, students, parents and education officials will also remain important for the implementation of educational programmes and for creating a better learning environment in schools.

With his previous experience in the education sector, attention is expected to remain focused on the challenges faced by schools across the district and on measures aimed at improving educational standards.

Following his assumption of charge, officials and employees of the Education Department extended their greetings to the newly appointed DEO. His previous experience in Boudh and Subarnapur is expected to support the functioning of the district education administration.
