The special grievance redressal camp will take place at the Sadbhavana Conference Hall within the Boudh District Collector’s Office premises from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Pensioners and retired government employees residing across the district have been invited to participate and bring their unresolved pension-related issues to the notice of the officials concerned.

Representatives and senior officials from the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA & PG) Department, the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), and the Controller of Accounts, Bhubaneswar, will remain present during the programme. Their participation is expected to facilitate direct discussions and quicker decisions on pending cases.

Ahead of the Pension Adalat, Additional District Magistrate Aniruddha Pradhan chaired a preparatory review and coordination meeting to assess arrangements and ensure effective implementation of the initiative. During the meeting, departmental officials and Pension Sanctioning Authorities (PSAs) were directed to personally examine outstanding pension cases and take immediate steps to remove procedural hurdles delaying their settlement.

The administration has also extended the scope of the programme beyond Boudh district. Pension-related grievances originating from neighbouring Subarnapur district will be considered at the Boudh venue during the afternoon session on November 4. Cases concerning pensioners from Kandhamal district will subsequently be taken up at the same location on November 5.

To ensure that pensioners, particularly elderly participants, can attend the programme without inconvenience, the district administration has made arrangements for drinking water, adequate seating and other essential facilities. Specific responsibilities have been assigned to different officers and staff members for the smooth management of the event.

The administration has appealed to all retired government employees and pensioners facing difficulties concerning pension approval, delayed pension payments, settlement of retirement dues or other related matters to attend the Adalat within the prescribed hours. Participants have been advised to carry relevant official documents, pension papers and supporting records to help the authorities examine their complaints effectively.

The district-level initiative is expected to strengthen the pension grievance redressal mechanism by bringing pensioners and responsible government officials onto a common platform. Through direct interaction, departmental coordination and timely intervention, the administration aims to reduce delays and ensure that retired employees receive the pensionary benefits they are entitled to without unnecessary hardship.
