India: BRICS Judicial Forum Brings Senior Judiciary Leaders Together in New Delhi
India is hosting a major international judicial gathering in New Delhi, bringing together senior judges and judicial representatives from BRICS member and partner countries for discussions on the future of justice and international legal cooperation.

The BRICS Chief Justices’ Forum is being held from September 4 to September 6, 2026, with the Supreme Court of India hosting the event. The forum brings together Chief Justices, presidents of supreme courts and senior judicial officials from participating countries.
The discussions are focused on contemporary challenges facing judicial systems, including improving justice delivery, international dispute resolution, technology and sustainable development.
The forum also provides an opportunity for participating judicial leaders to hold bilateral meetings and exchange views on issues of mutual interest. According to the Supreme Court’s official announcement, India’s Chief Justice is engaging with judicial leaders representing several countries, including Russia, China, Egypt, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Iran and Uzbekistan.
The gathering highlights the increasing role of international judicial cooperation as countries deal with legal questions that cross national borders. Digital technology, international disputes and sustainable development are creating new challenges that require greater exchange of experience between judicial institutions.
The New Delhi forum also gives participating countries an opportunity to strengthen institutional relationships and discuss approaches to improving the administration of justice.
The event concludes on September 6, making India the centre of a significant BRICS judicial engagement involving senior members of the international legal community.
