At least nine people have been killed in a series of separate attacks reported across communities in Nigeria’s central Plateau State, with residents in several areas facing heightened fear and insecurity.

The incidents were reported in parts of Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas, with the violence taking place between Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to reports from Nigerian media and community representatives.

Another attack was reported on Sunday morning in Dorowa Babuje, also within Barkin Ladi.

Local reports said additional casualties were recorded in separate incidents in Baten Wereng in Riyom Local Government Area and at Ratyidi in Fan District.
