Boudh Collector Reviews Development Projects During Rainy-Day Field Visit

Boudh, Odisha: Braving persistent rain, Boudh District Collector Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak conducted a field inspection across several parts of the district to assess the progress of ongoing development works and review their implementation at the grassroots level.
During the visit, the Collector personally inspected plantation activities and other development projects to evaluate their current status and determine whether the works were being carried out in accordance with the planned objectives.
The inspection covered Naranprasad, Uma, Khatkhatia, Gudvelipadar and Khuntigora areas under Kantamal Block. The Collector also visited several locations within Boudh Block as part of the field-level assessment.
At different sites, Nayak reviewed the progress of development projects, examined plantation activities and assessed the condition and maintenance of planted areas. He interacted with officials and field-level personnel to obtain updates on the implementation of various ongoing programmes.
The field inspection focused on understanding the actual situation at project locations rather than relying solely on administrative reports. Officials were asked to provide details regarding the progress of works and the steps being taken to ensure their proper implementation.
The district administration has been focusing on accelerating development activities and ensuring that government schemes and welfare measures reach eligible beneficiaries at the grassroots level.
Regular field inspections by senior district officials are intended to provide direct oversight of development projects, identify implementation-related issues and facilitate timely corrective measures wherever necessary.
Speaking during the visit, Collector Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak said, “I have come to the district to work for the district.” He emphasised that ensuring government facilities and benefits reach genuine beneficiaries would remain a key priority.
His decision to continue the field visit despite the rain and personally inspect development works has drawn attention among local residents. Direct monitoring of projects at the ground level is expected to provide greater oversight of implementation and help the administration address issues emerging during the execution of development programmes.
The Collector’s visit also underscored the district administration’s emphasis on field-based monitoring, plantation maintenance and effective delivery of government development initiatives across Boudh.
