Two Arrested After Armed Robbery Leaves Four People Held at Gunpoint in Louisville
Two young people have been arrested in Louisville, Kentucky, after police accused them of carrying out a violent armed robbery in which four people were held at gunpoint inside an apartment.

The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Tyler Brown and 19-year-old Anya Miller, were taken into custody following an investigation into the incident in the Jacobs neighborhood.
According to police, the confrontation began after Brown and Miller approached two people outside an apartment. The encounter reportedly followed a casual game of rock-paper-scissors before the situation suddenly escalated.
Investigators allege that the suspects pulled out firearms and pointed them at the victims. The two victims were reportedly searched, and one of them had a cellphone taken.
Police said the situation became more dangerous when one of the suspects allegedly fired a shot over a vehicle. Although nobody was struck by the gunfire, investigators later recovered a bullet from a nearby vehicle.
The suspects allegedly then forced the victims into the apartment, where two additional people were sleeping. The situation quickly turned into a broader confrontation involving everyone inside the residence.
Investigators said surveillance footage showed one of the suspects allegedly striking a victim in the face with a firearm. Several people were then reportedly forced onto the floor while the suspects demanded money and keys.
Police further allege that another shot was fired inside the apartment during the robbery, increasing the danger faced by the victims.
One of the residents, who had initially remained asleep, reportedly entered the living area after hearing the disturbance. Investigators said that person was also assaulted and suffered injuries to the forehead and hand.
The suspects allegedly demanded valuables before eventually leaving the property in a vehicle. One victim reportedly handed over a wallet and a box containing several hundred dollars.
No one was killed during the incident, but the alleged use of firearms and physical violence has resulted in multiple serious criminal charges against the two suspects.
Police subsequently identified and located Brown and Miller as part of the investigation. Both were arrested and have been charged with offenses including attempted carjacking, robbery, burglary and multiple counts of wanton endangerment.
Brown faces additional assault charges, while Miller has also been charged with complicity-related assault offenses.
The two suspects appeared in court and entered not-guilty pleas. A judge set their bonds at $250,000 each, with further court proceedings expected later this month.
The investigation demonstrates how an apparently ordinary interaction can rapidly escalate into a dangerous criminal incident when firearms become involved. Authorities are continuing to examine evidence from the apartment, including surveillance footage and other information gathered during the investigation.
The victims’ accounts and video evidence are expected to play an important role as prosecutors build the case. Investigators will also determine whether the suspects may be connected to any other incidents in the area.
The allegations against both defendants remain unproven unless established in court.
