Two Suspected Burglars Arrested Inside Swiss Home in Meggen
Meggen, Switzerland: Police in the Swiss canton of Lucerne have arrested two men suspected of breaking into a residential property in Meggen after residents reported suspicious noises from inside the house.

The incident occurred in the Huobrain area shortly before 10:30 p.m. Police responded to the residents’ report and arrived at the property while the suspected burglary was apparently still taking place. Officers entered the building and arrested two men inside.
The suspects are 47 and 51 years old and are from Moldova, according to police. Officers also recovered items believed to be connected with the suspected offence.
The quick response followed an alert from local residents who heard unusual sounds coming from the property. Their call enabled police to reach the location while the suspects were allegedly still inside.
Investigators are now examining the circumstances of the suspected break-in and determining whether the two men could be linked to other similar offences. The recovered items will also be assessed as part of the investigation.
The case is being handled by the Emmen Public Prosecutor’s Office, which will oversee the further legal proceedings.
Police have not disclosed whether the suspects were carrying additional tools or how they allegedly gained entry to the property.
Both men remain presumed innocent unless their guilt is established through the Swiss judicial process.
The investigation is continuing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances of the incident and determine whether further offences may be connected to the suspects.
